Peterborough United FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions
Reviewing 2025/26
You never know what you're going to get from Posh. The bookies didn't either. At 25/1 for the title pre season, they clearly had no idea if they were going to mount a challenge or threaten the trap door. It ended up being the latter. As November came around, they were sat rock bottom of the league, but after a great run over Christmas and New Year they thought the worst was behind them and now found themselves in mid table.
After taking just four points from a possible twenty-seven during the last 9 games, they laboured to an 18th place finish. Just 4 points above the drop.
Looking ahead to 2026/27
This will be Luke Williams first full season in charge at London Road and after the turbulent start, it's important to get a pre season under his belt and a few new signings in.
The signings of goalkeeper Collin Andeng-Ndi from Southend and Midfielder Harrison Jones from Sunderland both look like good bits of business. Jones is young and very tenacious whilst all Shrimpers fans were very sad to see Collin leave the club.
Court Offside Tip
The regular promotion and relegation between the Championship and League One appears to be over for now and another season of hard toil lies ahead in my opinion. I've got them to finish 17th, arguably worrying the bottom more than the play offs. I wouldn't be betting on anything just yet. One to watch.
