Milton Keynes Dons FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions

Reviewing 2025/26

The Dons started the season as 7/2 favourites for the title and had they converted any of their numerous chances against Fleetwood on the final day, they would've walked away with the trophy. But they didn't. And Bromley took the spoils. A good season all in all though ending up as top goal scorers in the division and 31 year old Callum Paterson bagged 16 of his own.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

Whether you like them or not, you have to admit they are still a growing club. They have the stadium, the potential fan base from the local area and they have money. The bookies expect too. 7th favourites for the League One title after just being promoted shows how highly they're being regarded.

Some solid transfer business has been done too. A lot of the dead wood has been released and in Ryan Wintle, Cohen Bramall, Charlie Goode and Dan Barlaser, they've signed some experienced players that are still in the peaks of their careers.

Court Offside Tip

The bookies have them reaching the play offs. I have them just missing out. But hey, after just being promoted from League Two they'll certainly accept my prediction. They're 7/4 for a play off spot but I don't see that as value. One to re-evaluate around Christmas time.
