Huddersfield Town AFC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions
Reviewing 2025/26
After starting very strongly, Town failed to find consistency and eventually finished 9th, eight points outside the play offs. Just two wins from their last ten games won't have helped any push up the leagues but in truth, that wasn't an isolated incident. The end the campaign with just here home defeats out of twenty-three but only eleven wins to boot.
Looking ahead to 2026/27
Martin Drury will be under a lot of pressure to get it right, especially given his lack of experience in the dugout at this level, but maybe not having a seasoned name in charge could be what's needed for the Terriers to mount a successful play-off charge.
A fair few names have arrived over the summer including Derensili Sanches Fernandes in a £1m deal from Eredivisie club Excelsior. Interestingly, Ilias Bronkhorst has been brought in from the same club and the two played right wing and right back respectively.
Court Offside Tip

The Terriers are big club in a relatively poor League One this season. It's their best chance of getting back up to the Championship from recent times and 11/8 is seriously good value if you agree with me that their summer transfer business suggests they're planning on pushing for a play off berth at the very least.
