Leeds United AFC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions

Reviewing 2025/26

As the season kicked off, Leeds were fifth favourites for relegation, but the bookies weren't convinced and were still only offering a little over evens on them going down. In late November they dropped into the bottom three for the first and what proved to be the only time throughout the campaign eventually finishing 14th. They were far from comfortable for most of it, but everyone at Elland Road will be happy with the first campaign back in the big league.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin fired in 14 goals and with his late season performances can consider himself incredibly unlucky not to have been called up for England's World Cup Squad.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

The bookies are unsure what to think of Leeds for the coming season. And so am I. By the looks of the off-field work going on over the summer I'd say the board are hoping for a consolidation season.

That's certainly the case when you look at the transfers. Struijk out, Muharemovic in. Very much a like for like swap. But the free transfer signing of Harry Wilson is the show stopper for me. With Calvert Lewin up top, they need someone with Wilson's quality to deliver into the box or even to shoot from distance and give him something to follow up on.

Court Offside Tip

Ok, so it's a bit similar to Fulham but I actually like this one even more. Leeds to finish above what appears to be a pretty poor looking Crystal Palace squad should be easy money. 5/6 is more than enough to tempt me into handing over some hard earned cash anyway.
