Exeter City FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions
Reviewing 2025/26
At 80/1 for the title, it was expected to be a hard fought season for the Grecians. However, as January turned into February, Exeter sat 11th in the league and looking upwards rather than down. But things soon changed. One win from the final 20 league games saw them plummet down into the relegation zone, eventually finishing 21st and going down through the trap door.
Looking ahead to 2026/27
After an awful collapse that culminated in relegation in 25/26 you can see why the Grecians aren't being tipped for an immediate return. I'm trying to be a bit more positive however.
Taylor Perry and Josh Gordon have come in and despite a few heading out the exit door, I think one or two more signings and Exeter are in a good position to mount a play off push. IF, they do actually add a couple more.
Court Offside Tip
After relegation last season, there's no doubt the Grecians will just want to find some stability in 26/27. The bookies aren't expecting much from them though and are offering a massive 7/2 on a top 7 finish which is very, very tempting.
