Chelsea FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions
Reviewing 2025/26
3rd favourites for the title pre kick off and my outside bet for the number one spot. Glad I wasted that money. How can a side, assembled using £2billion finish 10th in the league? A shocking season from all involved at the Bridge. Enzo Maresca was relieved of his duties only to be replaced by Liam Rosenior. Who was also then relieved of his duties.
Cole Palmer had an awful campaign by his standards and missed out on the World Cup squad as a result. I'd like to think that would spark him into life next year. The Blues finished with 8 losses from their last 10 games in the league. Not a lot else to say.
Looking ahead to 2026/27
It can't get worse than last season. And it won't. Infact, it could be a really strong season this time out. The bookies have Chelsea as 8/1 fifth favourites for the title and whilst I don't see them winning it, they could go close. AI has them fourth.
The award for the best transfer window is split right now between Tottenham and Chelsea. The additions of Morgan Rogers, Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda and Emannuel Emegha are all excellent signings and whilst the later is one for the future, he's 23, strong and hungry. The loss of Marc Cucurella is a big one. His performances for Spain throughout the World Cup were nothing short of magnificent and despite the arrival of Denner from Corinthians, it's clear that there's still a need to fill the void he left when he signed for Real Madrid.
Court Offside Tip

I've got Cheksea finishing 5th this season but honestly, they're comfortably the most difficult team to predict a league placing for. On paper they could challenge for the title. In reality all of the new players have to gel but if they do it could be very exciting times at the Bridge. At 8/1 to lift the Premier League I'm half tempted to do a bet with the intention of cashing out for a profit if it's going well.
