Reviewing 2025/26

Fleetwood began the campaign as 28/1 outsiders for the League Two title, but never mounted a promotion challenge. A difficult season saw managerial upheaval and inconsistent league form, with the Cod Army eventually finishing 15th in League Two. Mark Helm ended as the club’s leading scorer with ten goals from midfield.

In the cups, Fleetwood reached the FA Cup third round before losing to Port Vale which is a decent return.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

A lot of people are tipping Fleetwood to bounce back after a poor season last time out but without some much needed fresh impetus amongst the playing squad, I can't see it.

11 players have left at the time of writing and just 5 have made their way in with only midfielder Andy Cannon standing out as an experienced head at this level and above.

Court Offside Tip

I've got them down for a 20th place finish and really do expect them to have a pretty miserable campaign. 11/2 for relegation is pretty tempting but I think they'll have too much to actually go down. A potential cash out bet may be the way forward though.
