Barnet FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions

Reviewing 2025/26

After a pretty average season, Barnet finished with seven wins out of the last eight games and very nearly snuck their way into the Play Offs. In Kabongo Tshimanga, the Bees have one of the best strikers at this level and his 16 goals coupled with Callum Stead's 17 goal/assist contributions last term make it easy to see why some were predicting big things from the North London side.

Their league form was no doubt aided by the fact they were out of the Carabao, EFL and FA Cups by November 1st leaving them free to concentrate solely on League Two.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

There's no doubt that the loss of Callum Stead on a free transfer to Cambridge United will be felt amongst the ranks at The Hive. Pre season business needs to be strong to make up for that loss and whilst there's been a number of players brought in, none stand out as the direct replacement. 22 year old Jack Maskall has been brought in from Darlington and given the minutes, I think the lad could be very useful.

There's a good feeling buzzing about Barnet at the moment and I don't see that going anywhere providing they keep hold of their other top players and potentially see a couple more come in before the end of August.

Court Offside Tip

I don't see many people argung with this one. The Bees are on the up and there's some really positive vibes around the club right now. I don't think they'll quite have enough to sustain a heavy promotion push but can definitely see them in the top 7 come May.
