Crawley Town FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions

Reviewing 2025/26

After finishing the season with no wins in their last five games and picking up just 2 points from the fifteen available, Crawley were incredibly lucky to avoid being relegated to the National League finishing just one point above the drop zone.

Colin Kazim-Richards was drafted in with 7 games to go to try and save them and technically, he did so. Though not overly convincingly. However, it will be interesting to see how he fares next season with an opportunity to implement his own tactics, make his own transfers and set an environment and culture that he would want to be a part of. He certainly speaks a good game and talks highly of the local community and wanting to get them involved in taking the club forward.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

If CKR can get Crawley cooking like he did at the back end of the last campaign then who knows where they could go this season. They were in League One as recently as 2025 but after last season's calamity it's hard to see a push to get back there.

Free transfers of Jude Arthurs, Stephen Duke-McKenna and Priestly Farquharson are all astute experienced signings for this level but you just feel they're going to need more.

Court Offside Tip

Another tough season ahead I think with 21st spot earmarked for them. There's a pretty negative feeling about the place and they could easily be dragged into the mhyre. 9/2 for the drop with the bookies suggests they feel it's a very real possibility and whilst I think they stay up, I wouldn't blame anyone for taking those odds.
